1. General information
The contents will be organized around communication in job interviews, professional presentations at international fairs and trade shows, and the reception and animation of groups.
Communication skills and abilities directly related to customer care and service will be enhanced, therefore special attention will be paid to the appropriateness of the register used. We will also work on communication within the company's scope, with colleagues, and the knowledge of the company itself.
2. Learning results
The student, in order to pass this subject, must demonstrate the following results.
Solve communicative situations in German that involve the understanding of the fundamental concepts of the subject and their correct application.
Perform assignments and tests and participate in activities that demonstrate a knowledge of the subject content.
Identify sociocultural aspects and differences of the German-speaking customer in the field of tourism.
Read, understand and handle different types of texts in German, valuing them as sources of information necessary for professional activity.
Demonstrate fluency, correctness and confidence in speaking in German
Master the basic specific vocabulary of the German language used in tourism and business.

4. Written language. Descriptions of people.
5. Accidents. Emergencies.
6. Restaurant. The letter. Announcements. Blog.
7. Shopping malls. Purchases. Recommendations.
8. Festivals and tourist attractions. Invitations and congratulations.
9. Activity programs. Art in the street. Music festivals.
4. Academic activities
Students are required to actively participate in the face-to-face sessions, allowing them to use the German language to simulate the communicative situations proposed.
PRESENTIAL ACTIVITIES
Theoretical classes in the classroom: Explanation of concepts, presentation and exemplification of tasks. 30h
Practical classes: Performance of tasks. Participation in simulation activities. 30h
Tutoring: Personalized attention to the student for the resolution of doubts or questions related to the subject. 8h Mid-term and comprehensive exams: 6h
NON-FACE-TO-FACE ACTIVITIES:
Completion by the student of the exercises indicated by the teacher: written exercises, online, phonetics... 76h
5. Assessment system
First call
CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT
The assessment of the subject is done on a continuous basis throughout the semester. When the student, for justified cause, cannot follow the continuous monitoring of the subject, he/she has the option to take the global assessment.
- Exercises carried out during the term(20%)
- Written midterm exam(s) (60%) with the following parts:
- Use of German: Correct use of grammar and syntax
- Oral comprehension: Assessment of the ability to understand dialogues or narratives
- Written comprehension: Assessment of text comprehension and vocabulary exercises
- Written expression: Assessment of written communication skills. Vocabulary, grammatical correctness, syntactic structures and ability to express oneselfwill be valued.
- Oral expression (20%) Assessment of oral communication skills in the German language. The test can be performed by pairs of students.
If more than one midterm exam is taken during the semester, the grade is the average of the two.
GLOBAL ASSESSMENT
The form of the written and oral examination will be the same as that of the continuous assessment. Exercises performed during the term will not be taken into account.
Second call
It will be equal to that of the global assessment of the first call.
